Custom brass processing
Brass specs
MP offers a range of mechanical processes involving brass, zinc, and copper alloys, known for their excellent malleability, making them ideal for cold sheet metal processing. Brass is corrosion-resistant and adapts easily to various industrial sectors, consistently delivering precise results and high-quality standards.
Types of brass
There are various types of brass differing based on composition, the amount of zinc and copper, and the possible presence of other metals.
Nickel-plated brass: this contains nickel, which increases resistance to corrosion and high temperatures.
Alpha Brass is composed of about 90% copper and 10% zinc and is known for its high mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
Beta Brass contains less than 50% zinc, offering high hardness and resistance.
Lead Brass: a small amount of lead improves workability and cold formability.
Tinned Brass undergoes a tinning process, where a layer of tin is applied to its surface.
Specialised in the processing of tinned brass
MP excels in processing tinned brass, which has undergone a tinning process.
This material is used in applications requiring optimal resistance to corrosion, such as in the electronics and water treatment sectors.
Application sectors
The experience gained over time enables MP to process iron plates and profiles, adapting to the evolving needs of various application sectors. MP excels in this field, consistently ensuring precision and quality.
